Joseph Schooling of Singapore pulled off the biggest upset in the swimming competition of the 2016 Rio Olympics after defeating legendary Michael Phelps for the gold medal in the men’s 100-meter butterfly. The 21-year old Schooling’s feat was also historic as he gave his country its first ever gold medal in the Olympic Games.
In a video released by Singtel in 2015, Olympian and gold medalist Schooling showered his nanny Auntie Yolly with praises and even gave her a trophy. A group of people from Singtel also came out to cheer for Auntie Yolly.
From cheering him on at every swim meet, to consoling him in every defeat, to cooking his favorite pineapple curry whenever she gets the chance – Yolanda has been by his side.
