Shave ice is a popular dessert made of ice and syrups. It originally originated from Japan but it became famous in Hawaii when Japanese plantation workers immigrated to the beautiful Island and took the dessert with them. Shave ice has numerous names in other countries. And in Mexico, it is popularly known as “raspado.”
In this video, you will learn how a street vendor in Mexico makes a raspado. He started by shaving the ice into a snow-like figure and put a stick on the bottom. Then, he added flavored syrups on the ice which created a mouth-watering look. The result? You’ll surely drool.
